Oxford, United Kingdom Helen & Douglas House Full time

**Are you able to offer your free time as an ICT Volunteer? If so then this could be the role for you**

Helen & Douglas House is a home from home for local terminally ill children and their families. We provide round-the-clock care in a warm, loving environment. We’re a peaceful place where families can create happy memories in their last days, weeks, months, or years together. Based in Oxford, but supporting families from surrounding counties, we care for terminally ill children at the hospice and through our outreach service. At Helen & Douglas House, the world’s first children’s hospice, we care for babies and children up to the age of 18.

We are looking for an ICT Volunteer who has a wide range of IT skills and passion to bring to this new role. We want someone who is willing to learn new skills and about the work we do, and how their role will help both themselves personally and our Hospice. You would be supporting our staff and volunteers who work across our entire organisation - your role will make a real difference to the work we do.

Your duties will include creating new starters/remove leavers from system, assisting the team with IT updates in our shops, helping solve queries coming into the ICT helpdesk, and assisting the care team with setting up of games consoles for our children and families.

We are looking for a commitment of up to 1 year and working 2-12 hours per week.

Ideally you will have previous experience of computer networks and systems, with good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Volunteers are entitled to claim travel expenses and refreshments are provided during your shift.

Helen & Douglas House is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
