**Are you a Chartered Building Surveyor, Architect or Architectural Technologist looking for a new challenge in Retrofit?**
We are seeking a **Retrofit Designer** to strengthen and upskill our Retrofit team at Align Property Services.
This is an excellent opportunity for any professionally qualified individual (RICS, CIOB, CIAT or equivalent) with a strong background in building design or surveying, who wants to focus on meaningful retrofit work without rigid targets or unnecessary bureaucracy.

**What You’ll Be Doing**:
- Design practical, effective energy retrofit solutions for domestic properties in line with PAS 2035 requirements.
- Work closely with our Retrofit Assessors, Coordinators and Project Managers to ensure designs are robust, deliverable and compliant.
- Visit domestic properties where needed to gather information and verify design feasibility.
- Liaise with our Retrofit Coordinators, engineers, contractors and clients to develop and finalise design details.
- Ensure all designs align with current building regulations and sustainability targets.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge through CPD; full PAS 2035 training will be provided if required.
**What We’re looking for**:
**Professional Qualifications**
- A chartered architectural technologist (MCIAT or FCIAT) registered by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT); or
- An Architect registered by the Architects Registration Board (ARB); or
- A professional member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB or FCIOB); or
- A chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS or FRICS).
**Skills and Experience**
- Experience in building design, retrofit, refurbishment or energy efficiency projects.
- Confident communicator and team player.
- Committed to high standards and ongoing professional development.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and willing to travel locally.
