_Male Live-In Carer required (26 weeks per year) for Huntingdon_*, Excellent Rates of Pay (depending on experience)
- **1 Week on / 1 Week off.**_ _( Paid weekly )_

**About the position** : To assist and look after young man (30) with Cerebral palsy & Epilepsy. Electric wheelchair user who is dependent on others for all his social, domestic & personal needs. Currently lives at home (Specially adapted bungalow)

A bright and happy individual who enjoys getting out and about in the community. Hobbies include: Cycling (special needs quad bike), Eating Out, Ten Pin Bowling, Movies, Computers / Games. ( We are looking to re-establish these activities after Covid19 etc.)

**Summary of duties** : To assist with all aspects of support including personal care, hoisting to and from chair, bed, wheelchair and commode.To give medication, To Assist with some housework / laundry / cleaning etc. To accompany on trips out, including shopping, medical appointments and meetings, To be able to identify any issues / risks that may affect the user. To be proactive and communicate any ideas that could enhance his day-to-day living, To undertake any additional training deemed necessary or appropriate to enhance the care role

**The person we are looking for**: Needs to be trained in moving and handling, physically strong, you should have a genuine interest in supporting people. Job would ideally suit a locally based person who has knowledge of the local facilities and surrounding area.

You should be able to provide high quality care and support and should be mindful of the needs of the employer.

You should be hard-working, reliable, flexible, honest, patient with a good sense of humour and committed to the safety and welfare of the individual concerned.

You will need to have a current DBS and a full clean UK driving licence.
