**Are you looking for a creative role which will make a huge difference to the lives of others? Our friendly Nottingham-based team is looking for someone who has what it takes to attract funding for our education, healthcare and social programmes at The School of Hope in Guatemala.**
**The starting salary is dependant on experience.**
**You’ll be working with colleagues in the UK, the USA and Guatemala to develop and write grant proposals for prospective funds, trusts and individuals. As we’re a small team, there’s also the opportunity to get involved in a wealth of other fundraising activities including corporate events and support, seasonal events, community engagement, and social media fundraising campaigns.**
**About Us**:
Education for the Children is an international development charity working in Guatemala, Central America. The UK Head Office is based in Nottingham (NG2).
EFTC breaks the cycle of poverty through education, empowerment and enterprise, working at the heart of the community. Over 650 children are educated at EFTC’s primary and secondary school and through scholarships to local colleges and universities. Food, health and counselling programmes run alongside education to give an integrated approach to learning, providing security and ensuring the children and young people can make the most of their education.

**About You**:
As part of the fundraising team within the small UK team, you will contribute significantly to the fundraising efforts. You will also work closely with our fundraising teams in Guatemala and the USA, giving you the opportunity to make a large impact on the lives of children living in poverty.
You will build upon existing relationships with charity supporters and engage new donors whilst representing the Foundation in a professional manner at all times.
You will work independently, as well as with the CEO to provide first class management of high profile existing partners.
You will also assist on new business approaches, pitching for support and inspiring new organisations to support the charity.
You will have the ambition and drive to secure new partnerships and achieve income targets in a fundraising role.
You should feel comfortable approaching and liaising with senior management across a range of fields and you should, therefore, possess exceptional written communication skills and a creative but structured approach to your work.

The role requires flexibility with regards to working hours as some evening and weekend work will occasionally be required. A full driving licence with access to a car is preferred.
