WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are recruiting for Project Procurement Professional to support and assist the Supplier Contract Manager in the management of Procurement activity in the Epsom project.

This role requires previous experience of Procurement, preferably with knowledge and experience of Procurement in New Product Introduction, product development environments. Knowledge in Defence Programmes and the UK Supplier base in this domain (Electrical & electronic systems, raw materials, metalwork,machining and fabrication) is ideal.

Taking specific responsibilities within the overall function for the delivery of timely Procurement activities to support the development of solutions, creation of competition, delivering UK content that demonstrates value for money.

Working with the wider RBSL Commodity Teams and Rheinmetall Procurement teams internationally, this is an opportunity to ensure coherent category management is implemented for the business needs.

The role will involve the oversight and support to other Procurement Project activities and require the reporting of Programme progress into business management.

**Position Duties and Responsibilities**
- Placement and expediting of purchase orders with suppliers based on contracts negotiated by the commodity teams.
- Managing day to day supplier relationships to ensure on time delivery performance and working with suppliers to resolve supply issues and material shortages.
- Responsible for discharging procurement requirements through the full lifecycle of the RBSL business, whilst ensuring that SHE remains central to the task
- Managing the effective deployment of Procurement processes.
- Providing an excellent internal customer experience, through functional and supplier performance and embedding a culture of continuous improvement
- Contributing to an environment that is oriented towards the highest ethical standards, trust, open communication and creative thinking
- Championing SHE performance and quality within the RBSL supply chain
- Understand and implement “supplier management” ethos/culture/processes
- Understand and implement contractual clauses and obligations across various organisations, and at differing times within the project phase lifecycle

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- Experienced in implementation of Project Procurement activities including reporting
- Experienced in working within a multi-national Procurement organisation and complex matrix organisations.
- Working knowledge of creating Requests for Tender and the assessment process
- Ability to understand the diversity of the organisational climate and reach a consensus when faced with diverse operational activities and conflicting regulations
- Ability for calm and pragmatic decision making and the ability to work with the business and find cost effective solutions with appropriate risk mitigation
- Highly motivated and self-disciplined, with the ability to work autonomously, under the minimum of supervision
- Ability to manage relationships with stakeholders, dealing with escalations and facilitating discussions with different stakeholder groups to address conflicting requirements and priorities
- Ability to manage oversight of multiple Subcontracts during the future performance phases of the programme
- Deliver coherent Project Procurement management that will deliver to schedule and demonstrate value for money
- Capability to highlight deficiencies and lead the implementation of sensible but effective risk mitigation
- Must be cognisant of and have ability to undertake and participate in the creation and execution of legally-binding contractual documents. (Non-Disclosure Agreement’s, Security Aspects Letter’s, Teaming Agreements, MOU’s, Loan Agreements, Sub-Contracts, Terms and Conditions, Cyber Essentials documents, Defcons etc).
- Ability to work in a multi-national organisation, collaborate and develop with international colleagues the best Procurement solutions for the Joint-Venture.
