**Job description**

**JOB TITLE**:Yard Operative & Machinery Cleaner

**SALARY**:Up to £13.00/ hour

**LOCATION**:Littler Machinery LTD, FORMBY, L378EG

Littler Machinery is looking for a Yard Operative and Machinery Cleaner for an outdoor based position in a construction machinery wash and storage area. In this position you will be expected to contribute to all areas of yard operations, from machinery cleaning to disassembly and reassembly of machines and in return we can offer you a competitive pay package and considerable earning potential.

Responsibilities can vary. Past experience in a similar role and a basic understanding of electrical or mechanical aspects of machinery is desirable but not essential.

Training will be provided, but a good work ethic is a must. Good communication in this role is also essential, as you will be working closely with the yard manager to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and within time constrains.

The role is full time - Monday to Friday, with overtime and Saturday work available frequently.

**Responsibilities and duties**:
*Inspect parts, equipment, and machinery for cleanliness, damage, and compliance.

*Power wash, scrub, scrape, or spray machine parts, using scrapers, brushes, clothes, cleaners, disinfectants, insecticides, acid, abrasives, vacuums, and hoses.

*Lubricate machinery, vehicles, and equipment, and perform minor repairs and adjustments, using variety of tools.

*Disassemble and reassemble machines or equipment; or remove and reattach machinery parts and trim, using hand tools.

*Maintain inventories of supplies.

*Sweep, shovel, or vacuum loose debris and salvageable scrap into containers; and remove containers from work areas.

*Valet interiors of machinery

*Assist in the manoeuvring of machinery around the yard, paying particular attention to damage prevention to the yard and other areas when maneuvering.

**Skills & qualifications**:
*Strong organization skills, able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

*Ability to learn different cleaning processes and tools.

*Strong planning and time management skills with high attention to detail and an ability to plan, prioritise and adapt to meet timescales and deadlines.
