**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the buyer in all aspects of the purchasing process
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and products
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and contracts
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as logistics, supply chain, and sales to ensure smooth operations
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions

**Skills**:

- Strong sales and negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers
- Proficiency in using purchasing systems and software (e.g., AS400, Oracle EBS, SAP, Edwards)
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour
