Connect2Kent are recruiting on behalf of Kent County Council a **Coroners Contract Manager**to work on behalf of the KCC Kent & Medway coroner service team leading all aspects of coroner service specific contracts and SLA management and the related budget expenditure

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
1. Negotiate, conclude and monitor the range of contracts required by the service in collaboration with KCC commissioning where relevant.
2. Manage the strategic relationship with contractual partners to ensure value for money and continuity of service is achieved and performance and compliance is within contract terms and conditions
3. Monitor the coroner service budget, forecast income and expenditure, report exceptions and participate in financial audits to ensure the service operates within cash limit and in accordance with KCC financial regulations.

**Qualifications**:
1. English GCE A level garde C or above; Degree (or equivalents)
2. Demonstrable level of skill using Microsoft 365
3. Leadership and Management NVQ4 or equivalent
4. Contract management or procurement related qualification**
**Experience**:
Proven demonstrable experience of:

- experience negotiating and managing contracts
- budget management forecasting and financial controls
- working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholder partners
- business planning**
**Skills & Abilities**:
Demonstrate the required range of leadership & interpersonal skills to:

- develop and negotiate contractual terms and conditions with external stakeholders
- maintain strategic relationships with contractual partners to ensure performance and compliance is within contract terms and conditions
- control costs and identify budget pressures
- plan and organise work to deadlines
- draft and write reports, contracts and other documents
- confidently and pro-actively work as self starter
- use the full range of communication and interpersonal skills to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- travel across wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day

Hourly pay rate of £18.12
