Operations Supervisor

DP World are currently seeking an **Operations Supervisor**to join our operation based in **Burton upon Trent**. In this role you will be responsible for handling the team’s tasks and assignments and making sure employees are appropriately performing. A key element of this role is to oversee the efficient, effective performance of job duties. This role will work across a Mon-Fri shift of 8am-4.30pm

**About the role**:

- Supervising, guiding and motivating, a Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse and monitoring the productivity of its staff.
- Provide a safe working environment, adhere to Health and Safety Environmental procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team.
- Daily completion of management reports etc.
- Achievement of productivity levels in line with agreed KPI’s
- Ensure the team follows correct processes and Quality standards
- Ensure high standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained
- Provide help and assistance to other departments as and when required
- Assign tasks and troubleshoot any issues
- Always communicate appropriately with external and internal customers
- Coach and Mentor Senior operatives and Team Leads

**Your Key Skills**:

- Previous experience as an Operations Supervisor working in a Warehouse environment is essential
- Numerate with good communication skills (both spoken and written)
- Team Player
- Warehouse Operations knowledge
- Strong people and performance management skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Quality systems knowledge - to a reasonable level be able to monitor staff performance and costs within the department (including, but not limited to: time-keeping, quality, productivity, etc.)
