Job Introduction
**About Us**

We are a team of six based at Fire Service HQ in Kidlington, we work from this office at least two days per week and additionally travel to meetings and training in other locations around the Thames Valley. The team handle a complex workload, managing a wide variety of workstreams and responses to incidents across several organisations both in and out of normal working hours. We work to ensure compliance against several statutory legislations with the whole team supporting planning, training and exercising across all areas. Our purpose is to protect our community, reduce harm and save lives.

Our mission is to enhance community resilience through robust, data-driven resilience planning. Combining our expertise with evidence-based strategies, we will help our communities build resilience and respond effectively to emergencies.

**About the Role**

To be successful in the role, you need to have previous experience of working in a Business Continuity environment. This role will include managing the Business Continuity Management for the County Council as well as other planning workstreams. This role includes participating in the on-call rota once competent. This is a busy role with many competing demands. This role will involve meeting and working with a variety of staff and partners and attending and Chairing a number of meetings both within the county and in neighbouring counties.

- Empowering communities with the knowledge and tools to prepare for and recover from incidents and emergencies.
- Improve our data-driven insights for decision-making and emergency response.
- Continuously improving through innovation, learning, and best practice.
- Provide trusted resilience services to Oxfordshire County Council and further develop the paid service to local authority partners
- Support & Coordinate OCCs response 24/7 to incidents and emergencies with other Cat 1, Cat 2 partners other stakeholders
