Prospero Teaching are seeking an experienced Behavioural Mentor to work in a High school near Accrington to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). The school is accessible by good road and public transport networksand there is a large car park on site.

**The role is working in SEN Support and will consist of**:

- Providing tailored support and working with children with SEMH and SEN (special education needs)
- Creating a safe environment that allows the children to have fun, learn and succeed
- Academic support of a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assisting the teachers in the classrooms
- Teaching assistant qualification would be desired but not essential
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEN on a voluntary or paid basis OR
- Experience of working with secondary aged children in an educational setting

**Position Details**:

- Location - Accrington, Lancashire
- Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
- Contract Type - Temporary
- Minimum Daily Rate - £75
- Hours - 8.30-4pm (Term Time only) Monday - Friday
- Start Date - ASAP

**EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- High grade in English & Maths at GCSE
- Previous experience working with young people desirable
- Previous experience working with SEMH pupils
- updated safeguarding training (essential, however, training can be provided)
- Updated prevent awareness training (essential, however, training can be provided)

**TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST**:

- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Provide a minimum of two professional references that are relevant to this role
