The Finance Department is currently recruiting an experienced individual who will be responsible for the Purchase Ledger, initially on a 1 year fixed term contract.

The role is full time, onsite working at our Derby offices at Pride Park, Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
- Create and process bulk payments on a weekly basis
- Liaise with suppliers - answering queries and raising questions as necessary
- Process expense claims and credit card statements for the firm
- Manage the petty cash
- Ensure invoices are authorised and booked promptly once received
- Process daily bank statements
- Perform month end tasks - bank reconciliation / journals / reporting
- Assist with ad hoc tasks and reporting as necessary

**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:
You will:

- Have previous experience in a Purchase Ledger, with a sound knowledge of VAT
- Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Have experience with an online banking system
- Have the ability to learn quickly and be flexible with their approach to work
- Be highly self-motivated and comfortable with regular deadlines
- Be able to multi-task and prioritise their workload
- Be numerate and highly accurate with their work
- Be hard working and be a good team player
- Have excellent communications skills
- Disclosure will be required in the event that a position is offered._
