**Pay: From £9.98 per hour**

**£20,758 per annum**

**Hours: 40 hours a week**

**11.30am to 10pm Monday to Thursday**

M&M Timber is part of the Forest Garden Group, the UK’s leading and most trusted manufacturer and distributor of quality wooden garden products.

We are currently looking for a cleaner to join our team, carrying out general housekeeping duties within and around our busy Rounding Mill facility.

**The role**:

- Performing general housekeeping duties is the main part of this job
- You’ll also be expected to support both your Team Leader and the Mill
- Manager by making sure that high standards are maintained, and health & safety housekeeping inspections are completed
- You’ll play an important part in helping us to achieve excellence in our operational performance

**Key responsibilities**:

- Make sure all 5S Cleaning Protocols are completed, in line with the standards set
- If you don’t know what 5S is, don’t worry - it’s all part of the training
- Photograph all daily tasks so that they are recorded on the provided tablet
- Comply with the Rounding Mill Facility Safe System of Works (SSOW) guidelines
- Make sure you always wear all mandatory PPE when required
- Report any Health and Safety issues using the right processes
- Actively support and take part in process improvements
- Keep up with the mandatory Training Qualifications needed for your job
- Attend training courses when required

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential

**Required Skills**:

- Capable of using your own initiative to make effective decisions and judgments when required
- Ability to use equipment relevant to the role (after training, if needed)
- Effective communication with all members of the team
- Active participation in daily Team Leader briefings
- Ability to identify, communicate and assess areas in which we could improve the way we work
- Ability to use IT tools if required (after training, if needed)
- Willingness to work for qualifications relevant to your job, including mandatory training and any necessary up-skilling
