We are looking for a cook to join the team at Saint Cecilia's Care Home in Scarborough. This is a vital role within the Home, to deliver top quality, nutritious and delicious meals to our much loved residents.

3 x 10hrs shifts 7.30 - 5.30pm

**You will**:

- Have excellent levels of hygiene and must ensure that the homes high standard is maintained and residents are treated in the way you would expect to be treated yourself.
- Be responsible for preparing good quality, satisfying meals to meet the special and dietary needs of the residents within the home.
- Assist in kitchen duties connected with the preparation, cooking and presentation of meals and beverages whilst ensuring the highest quality.
- Carry out general kitchen and dining room duties, such as setting up, cleaning tables, washing up, serving meals etc.
- Ensure that a good standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the kitchen and dining room.
- Operate an efficient stock control system.
- Work with the Group Catering Manager to develop menus.
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support.

**Personal Responsibilities**:
Take responsibility for your own professional development through performance and development reviews and undertake any relevant training

**Specific requirements from previous experience**:
Knowledge of textured, modified diets _- preferred but not essential_

Previous experience of working in a supervisory role

Experience of working with residents who have additional support needs _- preferred but not essential_

**Qualifications**:
RQF Diploma/City and Guilds/HNC in cookery

Qualifications in textured modified food _- preferred but not essential_

Qualifications in serving moulded food _- preferred but not essential_
