**Head of Events**

**General**:

- Accountable for all Kalm Kitchen events
- Ensure the delivery of Kalm Kitchen events is to our exacting standards
- Key client contact for event-specific senior stakeholders
- Perform an event leadership role across all event functions, providing direction and motivation to all teams
- Manage and set project timelines and milestones, ensuring the project remains on target
- Be able to communicate progress clearly, accurately and transparently to key internal Stakeholders
- Management of ‘on site’ team and ability to scale up and adapt management between pre-event requirements and on-event, multiple large teams
- Help with sourcing, managing and controlling both third-party suppliers for equipment hire as well as managing Kalm Kitchen assets
- Help to actively seek efficiencies in operational deliveries with regard to food COS, supplier networks and resource
- Manage the team and the client with regular event updates and project planning meetings including regular updates of the key project planning document
- Event catering experience is essential
- Ability to understand the building of a pop-up kitchen/restaurant and the logistics around this
- Operational planning on greenfield events, working alongside culinary, logistics and staffing teams
- Work alongside Executive Chef to plan the operational delivery of menus
- Work alongside the Logistical team to ensure the smooth running of the event from kitchen plans to vehicle movements, drinks to disposal
- Work alongside the Staffing team to ensure the best staff are on the event and that event budgets are hit

**Budget & Finance**:

- Fully control and be accountable for the overall budget of individual events
- To work alongside the CEO with ongoing management of the budgets, including forecasting and tracking costs
- Follow company finance processes, raising POs, good receipts, submitting supplier invoices to finance
- Review and prepare budget reports for senior management
- Maintain a good knowledge of seasonal ingredients and food costs and ensure cost pressures across all areas are regularly reviewed and adapted to mitigate these increases

**Strategy**:

- Act as an ambassador for Kalm Kitchen towards our clients and guests
- Use key performance objectives to develop and monitor the evolution of the department

**Onsite**:

- Responsible for ensuring the team is providing high-quality hospitality for guests at all venues and events
- Remain calm and decisive in challenging, stressful situations
- Work with the logistics team on managing suppliers and deliveries
- Plan, organize and manage the daily operations of the hospitality staff to ensure efficiency, briefing the event managers
- Identify and implement ways to further enhance the guest experience
- Ensure all records and reports are fully completed and up to date

**Other**:

- Excellent client relationship-building and management
- A variety of operational and planning experience for hospitality food and beverage offerings
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and internal teams
- Be a brand advocate for guests and ensure that all their touch points reflect the Kalm Kitchen identity and team values
- Design and continuously improve and implement processes to ensure the smooth running of the events
- Develop and communicate standard operating procedures to all staff
- Supervise staff members and communicate the importance of customer satisfaction
- Handle customer complaints when needed
- Attend the post-event debrief with the client
- Be organised, punctual, motivational and with varied communication skills (formal, informal, international)
- Be conversant with all company codes of conduct

**The Role**:
General hours will be 09.00 - 17.30. The role will require flexibility for working on events, tastings, site visits etc.
