Job Title: Quality Management System Auditor

Location: Greater London

**Salary**: £18.72 - £23.78 p/h

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct internal audits to test adherence to procedures, ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 17020, the Forensic Science Regulator's Codes of Conduct and Practice, and other applicable standards.
- Identify improvement opportunities and provide reassurance to management of the effectiveness of the system on the basis of evidence gathered during audits.
- Establish and control system documentation such as procedures and instructions and test their effectiveness through auditing.
- Liaise with auditees, process owners, and departmental managers to ensure that corrective / improvement action plans are agreed, implemented, and verified in a timely manner.
- Provide written reports on audit findings that identify areas of risk and describe the effectiveness of the management system.
- Provide advice and recommendations on quality related matters to staff and management at all levels across the Directorate as appropriate.
- Liaise with external auditors to demonstrate the effectiveness of the management system.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

- A knowledge of international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and ISO 17020.
- Previous experience in auditing is required.
- The ability to clearly communicate, and justify, findings and recommendations to staff and management at all levels across the Directorate as appropriate.
- A broad understanding of the different business services provided by the Directorate and how they interact.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills to identify causes rather than symptoms.
- The confidence to work solo or as part of a team.

Expectations and Working Conditions:

- Must provide a DNA sample and fingerprints for inclusion on the Staff Elimination databases.
