We are looking for a manufacturing modeller to join our team.

**Role Purpose**

To provide new expertise & experience, to strengthen the team for development and commercialisation work. You will also lead the computational modelling skills within the business.

**Accountabilities**
- Develop ceramic processing modelling capability, inc bespoke & innovative modelling tools to establish unique technology platforms for the ceramic industry
- Set up & manage ceramic manufacturing models
- Problem solve using the modelling results to develop engineering solutions to clients and programme partners
- Develop ceramic processing modelling capabilities to extend across a range of manufacturing & end user requirements
- Support client teams to deliver industry transformational projects for the wider ceramic supply chain.
- Be an advocate for the advantages of modelling for the ceramic industry & the performance & financial benefits it can bring to manufacturing capability & efficiency.

**Qualifications**
- Graduate or postgraduate qualification in relevant science / engineering discipline.
- Advanced experience in multi-physics analysis using the finite element method & CFD analysis, including experience in use of COMSOL and/or ABACUS and FEMAP CAE
- Experience in using computer programming languages such as Python

**Experience**
- Experienced in developing computational models of industrial processes to examine a variety of effects including heat flows, stress & vibrational analysis to aid design and process optimisation
- Experience of data structuring, predictive modelling, & the use of advanced analytics within a research environment.
- Knowledge in artificial intelligence
- Within material science and ceramic processing an advantage.
- Of analysing a customer’s requirements & developing technology solutions to meet their needs
- Passion for understanding & developing industry & academia collaborations.

- Ability to create, interrogate & manipulate computer models
- Create compelling data-driven solutions
- Ability to process, cleanse & verify the integrity of different types of data
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills which have been applied in a business context.
- Proven ability of fresh thinking & innovation
- Able to work with multiple technologies & multiple partners at the same time
- Explain complex technical issues
- Proven ability to build, sustain and develop strong client relationships.

**Work Pattern**
- 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
