We’re looking for a Product Lead to join our Outdoor Plants and Greens category team based in Southampton, with hybrid working on an initial 12-month fixed term contract. The role reports into our Head of Range for Outdoor and will specifically look after the Garden Pots & Artificial Christmas area within our Outdoor category. As a Product Lead your role will be to develop innovation in the Own Exclusive Brands (OEB) within your category whilst being more agile in new product development and impactful on performance.

**Responsibilities**:
**What you’ll be doing**:

- Lead OEB projects and ranges within your category from concept through to delivery whilst using insights and data to identify commercial opportunities to build and maintain an exciting and competitive category
- You’ll lead on identifying new product development, input into eligibility criteria, selling data, comms brief and product validation working with a cross functional team of designers, engineers, quality, brand, packaging etc.
- Work with the business and retail banners to identify requirements for your category direction using customer insights gained
- Shared responsibility for the sales and margin performance of the OEB products within range
- Own ongoing performance review of OEB products and manage remedial actions with the retail banners to support overall range performance

Qualifications:
**What experience you’ll bring**:

- Industry knowledge and previous buying experience within the Outdoor category, ideally Greens category within a large international retailer
- Experienced at building, planning, and executing product strategy and ranges
- Prior experience utilising commercial and customer insights to shape product decisions
- Understanding of colour, material & finish will be important, experience in fashion or soft furnishings preferable
- Experience in new product development
