**Senior Accountant**

**Salary: £23,000 - £27,000 (dependent on experience)**

We are seeking a senior accountant to join our team.

You will need to be a member of The Association of Accounting Technicians and previous experience in general practice is preferred. You must hold valid certifications with accounting software providers such as Xero, Quickbooks, Freeagent. You will be workingclosely with OMB and SME clients so you must have good verbal and written communication skills to offer a wide range of non-audit services.

The key responsibilities for this role will be:

- Year End Accounts preparation including Corporation Tax computations
- Management Accounts preparation
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Bookkeeping
- Office administration,
- Ensuring deadlines are met, liaising with clients and having a can-do attitude towards day-to-day tasks to maintain the smooth running of the office.

At Thursfields, tax advice really is the key to our service, so a strong tax interest is required for this role.

Whether the task is simple or complex a proactive attitude and understanding to the material effects on each individual client is necessary to build strong standing relationships with customers.

A dedicated home office is required for this position as remote working became permanent at Thursfields following its success during COVID.

You will also need to have a valid driving license and access to a car for client visits and company meetings held on location.
