**Trainee Water Surveyor/ Installer**

**Training to start in February and March**

ABS are an industry-leading and forward-thinking organisation, working within the Utilities Infrastructure sector. We pride ourselves on being specialists in everything we do and we have a big year planned for growth. We have some brand new openings for 2025 and are looking for a number of committed individuals who would like to train to become Utilities Surveyors, with start dates throughout February and March. This is a great role if you have experience working with water installs or plumbing roles previously, due to the nature of the work.

**The Role**

As a Utilities Surveyor/ Installer, you will be trained to survey and install water meters, you must be able to travel 100% of the time where needed across the UK, but the current project is mainly North West based to start. As mentioned, full training will be given so no experience is necessary however as mentioned some previous experience in a similar water or plumbing role will help us hit our tight targets. Also having a positive and professional attitude along with the ability to be proactive and think ahead would be beneficial. From day one you will become an integral part of our busy team, no day is the same and you will have the opportunity to work for some our key clients.

The Trainee Utilities Surveyor is a busy role that requires someone who isn’t afraid to take ownership of their work To be successful you must enjoy being busy, out and about in different locations daily, plus be able to work to tight deadlines. You will be provided with a company vehicle plus all the equipment you will need to carry out your duties.

Other key attributes include:

- Being able to work outdoors and not be phased by challenging environments such as bad weather conditions.
- Positive and flexible approach. Wiliness for daily travel and be able to stay away 5 nights a week if needed. Current work is North West based
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability to use a smartphone, a tablet or a laptop
- Exposure to software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF writer (Training will be provided)
- Ideally a clean driving license
