Policy Officer In Wales
We are currently recruiting for a Policy Officer In Wales to start immediately for up to 3 Months. The role is located in Wales
- Cardiff, CF10 1AF 2 days in the office 3 days from home, working on a full-time basis and is paying a competitive £20 per hour-32K.
WHO WILL YOU BE WORKING FOR?
Our client is an established non-profit Healthcare organisation.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Provide administrative and policy support to Officers of the College.
Working with Officers to influence Welsh Government and policy makers on key mental health issues and delivering campaigns.
- To act as a central point of contact within the College in Wales for policy issues.
- Provide members in Wales with dedicated administrative and policy support including the organisation of academic meetings, committee meetings and events.
- Provide regular updates on policy work and policy developments to members and Officers at Executive Committee Meetings.
- Gather data by proactively scanning the external policy, parliamentary, legal and research environments to identify emergent issues which may have an impact on the work of the College in Wales.
- Assist with public affairs monitoring and influencing, drafting parliamentary questions and writing briefings/evidence for parliamentary processes.
- Respond to National Assembly inquiries; obtain feedback from Members, produce written responses and briefings, liaise with Committees and organise College representation for hearings.
ABOUT YOU
- Self starter who is able to come in and get on with work with mínimal supervision.
- Policy experience and an interest in Health care; especially Mental Health.
- Committee Experience.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Access, Outlook, Excel and web-based software
