Quality Assurance Supervisor

The main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Supervising all changes to the quality management system
- Supervision of calibration and maintenance activities associated with all departmental measure and test equipment
- Liaising with all Managers and Supervisors on Quality activities and corrective or preventive actions
- Supervision and development of all QA personnel
- Conduct annual appraisals and annual personal development plans for QA personnel
- Review of resources and control of overtime allocation
- Assist and participate with internal and external third party / approval body assessments / audits
- Review of customer ITT’s to ensure technical and quality requirements can be achieved
- Deputise for department Manager on quality matters when required
- Input into quality system management reviews
- Input into regular evaluation of NCR’s, EDW’s and supplier performance
- Review and provide input into industry standards and supplier specifications
- Supervision and implementation of quality systems awareness training
- Supervision of controls for temporary and / or full approval for suppliers via ASL
- Assisting department Manager in the development and continuous improvement of the quality management system
- Perform root cause analysis investigations and process preventative and corrective actions and customer complaints as applicable
- Responsible for the coordination and monitoring of all work that requires internal department input e.g. quality plans, inspection and test plans and reporting to the department Manager for final approval

Qualifications and experience must include the following:

- Minimum NC/HNC in an Engineering or Quality discipline or time-served Engineer / Technician apprentice
- Quality management system experience (ISO 9001); Experience of API Q1/Q2 preferred
- Experience of dealing with IVB, ICB and external clients / representatives
- Good general IT skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
