Health and Safety Trainee
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety, Environment & Quality Assistant trainee based in Bolton.
Martindales are leaders in our field, working alongside major insurers and supplying a first class service to their policyholders repairing and replacing windows and doors.
The role is permanent, 40 hours per week with extensive H&S training and development.
Maintaining a safe facility and ensuring all Health and Safety, Environment and Quality Policies are adhered to and that our teams are fully trained.
As the H&S Assistant you will be providing support with the following;
*Acting under the guidance of our qualified Safety Consultant.
*Supporting as site contact, taking accountability for ensuring the smooth operation of several sites/branches and ensuring day to day Health & Safety, Environment and Quality processes and procedures are adhered to.
*Ensuring the sites/branches are compliant on all requirements and that all documentation is maintained accurately and reviewed regularly.
*Assisting in making sure that all team members are trained in line with H&S expectations.
*Walking the sites daily to maintain a safe environment.
*Assisting with regular health and safety audits and acting on any findings.
*Annual review of Risk assessments and Safe Working Instructions.
*Accident Investigation and reporting.
*An education to at least A level standard or equivalent with additional Higher Education qualification (HND/Diploma) - desirable.
*GCSE in English and Maths.
*Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
*An understanding and experience of Health and Safety regulations, desirable
*Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
*Excellent IT Skills
*Exceptional organization skills
*Full UK driving license. The ability to travel to / from Branches for Compliance Audits.
Salary
A competitive salary up to £24000 (£450 per week) and further career advancement alongside ongoing training & development.
This is a FULL-TIME PAYE career with fast-track progression, NOT a temporary contract.
