We are now recruiting for a Senior Regeneration Officer to join our Regeneration and Housing Strategy team. In this role, you will have a leading role in supporting the housing regeneration ambitions of the Council in creating places where residents and tenants are able to flourish, live well and fulfil their potential. To do this, you will consider all aspects of regeneration from the physical buildings in a location to how the capacity and resilience of communities can be developed.
You will undertake a range of duties including (but not limited to):
- Undertaking evidence-based regeneration studies, using this information to inform strategy and plans and managing the projects that result from this work
- Taking a leading role in formulation, engagement, delivery, and monitoring of programs, projects and initiatives across the District
- Taking responsibility for a wide range of projects and have input at all stages
- Taking an active role in consultation with residents, tenants, and other relevant stakeholders such as Councillors and a range of partners
- Working on bids to access funding and investment.

- Have a relevant degree in a discipline such as Housing, Planning, Property or Regeneration Studies, or with demonstrable experience
- Have a genuine interest in community regeneration
- Have an organised approach, with the ability to prioritise work effectively in a busy and demanding environment
- Have excellent communications skills, being able to use tact and diplomacy to negotiate relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Have extensive experience working in a development, housing regeneration, or planning environment.
- Hold a project management qualification
- Have demonstrable success in monitoring projects from conception to completion including
- securing funding
- commissioning and procurement experience
- contract management
- preparing business cases and reporting on progress
