Working for this leading FinTech Cards / Consumer focused financial services firm, you will be part of a team of Assurance specialists delivering assurance activities across the business to offer a 2nd Line of Defence view on the control environment.
You will complete risk assurance tests that align to the agreed assurance testing programmes for relevant risk types, including both thematic testing and execution of continuous assurance activities. You are ultimately seeking to assess the control environmentfor the Chief Risk Officer, the accountable executive for the relevant risk type and other relevant colleagues from across the business. They look to you to form a view on whether controls are designed adequately and are being performed appropriately.
You must work well with the rest of the Assurance team as well as with a wide range of 1st Line of Defence colleagues, 2nd Line of Defence Risk Business Partner(s)and Risk Framework manager(s) (who are our wider Enterprise Risk team colleagues) plus youwill need to work alongside the Audit team. The way you go about your role is very much about delivering an effective risk assurance plan for the business built on a strong personal contribution and a value adding connection to the wider team.
Using assurance outputs to build MI of varying types, so your focus on quality will always be really important. So, you will need to sign up to being passionate about giving your best and delivering a quality product because our Assurance brand is centralto what we do.
Providing support to management and also various Assurance related projects and activities is an integral part of being in the team - we believe this joined up approach is what enables the successful delivery of both personal goals and the achievement ofwider objectives for the whole Assurance team.
ESSENTIAL
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Highly organised - ability to demonstrate timely delivery of independent project work
- Excellent communication skills - e.g. the ability to translate complex regulatory information into meaningful and actionable business insight
- Strong stakeholder management skills - able to demonstrate management of both peers and senior stakeholders
DESIRABLE
- FinTech background in a Financial Services environment
- Familiarity with the 3 Lines of Defence and Credit, Conduct and Operational Risk types
- Previous experience of testing/investigation work
