Our global trading offices are staffed by experienced traders who count Gas, Crude Oil, Light and Middle Distillates, fuel oil, emissions as well as Bitumen, as their specialties. The traders are supported by skilled shipping and financial operations personnel, headquartered in Athens.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Provide support and advise related to insurance coverage requirements (except trade credit insurance) across the company (holding and subsidiaries)
- Provide advise with insurance matters related to quality and quantity of the oil being shipped.
- Provide advise and verify that the shipment complies with all regulations and standards.
- Review and provide advise on inspection reports as required.
- Participate in negotiations for cost-effective coverage and terms and conditions across insurance policies
- Coordination on all insurance and risk related requests from internal stakeholders including legal, finance, Operations, Claims and global subsidiaries
- Build external partner relationship including insurance broker, third party administrators, inspector and inspection companies and insurance companies
- Maintain a database of all issued insurance certificates, insurance cover and pro-actively manage the renewals
- Where required support with the preparation of insurance claims and submit it to insurance broker/underwriters
- Amend BB Energy sanctions and embargo manual accordingly
- Monitor, amend and communicate sanctioned vessels and shipping companies as required

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s or higher degree - preferably in Finance/Shipping/Engineering
- Relevant experience of 6 - 8 years in shipping inspection or cargo insurance.
- Experience in energy trading company or in a tanker ship management company as inspector, insurance will be beneficial
- Knowledge of oil cargo inspection, including inspection techniques and industry regulation and standards will be required
- Knowledge of insurance markets and trends
- Able to manage time sensitive information and activities
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Good understanding of insurance products, general insurance, coverage, contracts, and the terminology associated with the insurance and commodities industry.
- Able to build relationship with insurance companies, broker and underwriters
- Good facilitation, planning, organizational, analytical and leadership skills.
- Computer Literate in Microsoft Suite, experience in commercial systems and ability to learn new ones
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
