This is to ensure that members of the police are fully aware and accountable for the unique powers entrusted to them and the standards of professional behaviour they swear to uphold.** Job Title: Museum Funding and Grants Officer Type: Police Staff Closing Date: 8/5/2025 Employee Type: Part-time Location: Birmingham (much of the work can be completed on an agile basis) **ABOUT THE ROLE** The role would be agile, meaning you would be provided with a laptop, and be expected to work 14 hours 36 minutes a week (0.2fte). Whilst the work could mainly be done from home and via Teams meetings, there will be some requirements to come into the museum for face to face meetings. **ESSENTIAL OR DESIRABLE** **Essential experience**: - Experience of administrative duties - Experience of working on own initiative and managing time effectively - Experience of working in partnerships, with multiple stakeholders, and be able to adapt your approach to a variety of audiences and be enthusiastic and self-motivated. - Structured and methodical approach and be able to deal with several competing demands in a busy environment. - Strong interpersonal skills and confident in both writing reports and presenting to senior managers. - Educated to A-level or equivalent **Desirable**: **Essential skills**: - Ability to seek out and identify funding opportunities - Able to interpret information from different sources and use own initiative to address requirements of different funders - Ability to work largely alone and unsupervised, to tight timescales - Excellent time management skills - Strong organisational skills and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. - Ability to analyse data and present findings in reports and presentations. - Research skills to assist with identifying new funding opportunities. - Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with guidance.Ability to work flexibly in response to opportunities and deadlines. **Probationary Policy**: **Vetting**: Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting and Counter Terrorism Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role, this will include a full background & financial disclosure as part of the vetting process. **Medical** Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully medical checks, which may include a drugs test.
