Patient Coordinator/ Appointment Booker

The Dental Studio has an exciting new opportunity. As one of Wakefield’s leading Dental and Cosmetic Practices, we are looking for a Patient Coordinator/Appointment Booker whose duties will primarily be:
- Booking consultations for dental treatments.
- Assisting the patients on the phone and face to face.
- Assisting in selling the treatment and managing the payment options.
- Monitor and update spreadsheets.
- Social media account management.
- Providing a high-level concierge service.
- Administrative duties.
Further duties may entail liaising with various team members.
Most importantly, you will manage the journey for new patients from the initial enquiry to a successful acceptance of treatment.
**Skill Set**
- Ideally reception/ Sales or appointment booking experience.
- You must be presentable and be well spoken over the phone.
- IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Be accurate with reports and data.
- Dental experience would be desirable.
**Duties of the Role**
- Respond and reply to all patient enquiries
- Book, qualify and secure all new consultation appointments for patients.
- Keep a track of all new enquiries using the practice’s tracking systems.
- Nurture and inform the new patient bookings of their appointment.
- Following up on treatment plans after the consultation for treatment uptake.
- Provide reports and suggest recommendations for generating new patient leads.
- Adhere to all practice protocols and policies particularly data security.
**Essential Attributes**
- Excellent communications skills, both written and spoken.
- IT literate - Google, Microsoft, Word and Outlook.
- Well presented, professional and personable.
- Enthusiastic and keen to help the practice grow it’s new patients
- Sales experience, preferably within the dental industry (but not essential).
- Self-motivated.
- A team player.
**Preferred Attributes**
- Dental background (TC, clinical or administrative)
- Experience with dental software (Exact-Software of Excellence, R4 etc)
- Knowledge and confidence of dental procedures.
- Demonstrates flexibility to suit business demands
**An Advantage**
- Able to make/implement changes to current systems based on marketing trends
- Discuss patient’s feedback with management with a view to improve the service
- Knowledge and experience of analysing data and marketing leads
- Help the team when needed
The business operates and is open 5 days a week with some additional Saturdays.

- £20 - £23k salary (dependent on experience)
Training will be provided as you will be expected to update and enter confidential patient details on the internal database and work with a professional attitude towards all patients.
