Home to one of the world’s greatest art collections and located in a beautiful historical part of central London, an exciting opportunity to join my client’s finance function as a Finance Business Partner has arisen.
A fully qualified finance professional who has excellent communication skills will be responsible for building relationships with budget holders and collecting and sharing MI.Commercially driven, the post holder will accurately prepare **timely financial information, including monthly management accounts and will assist with forecast-budgeting.**
Building a trusted partnership and providing influence and strategic guidance, the Finance Business Partner will promote business improvements and be proactive in enhancing finance procedures and systems.
Responsibilities also include:

- Monitoring funding budgets and working closely with Development and SAS on income reporting and funds management.
- Ensuring appropriate distinction is maintained between restricted and unrestricted funds and monitor use of restricted funds to ensure all restrictions are observed.
- Produce cash flow reports and prepare and monitor the cash flow forecast.
- Preparation of group management accounts and supporting budget preparation.
- Development of key performance metrics, appraise current activities of the organisation, and identify and communicate opportunities to maximise revenue and/or reduce expenditure.
- Proactively working with the wider finance department to ensure that financial information is accurately recorded in the accounting system, and that financial systems, procedures and processes are appropriate, efficient, and continuously improved.
- Ensure compliance with all government, legislative, charity and internal policies and procedures.
- Undertaking statutory and financial reporting in a timely manner and in line with statutory bodies and the Companies Act and all relevant legislative requirements.
- Participating with internal audit function to evaluate risk, assess the efficacy of internal processes and systems
The fully qualified accountant will have expertise in the following areas:

- budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Management reporting best practice including variance analysis and non-financial metrics.
- Significant experience of developing financial models
- Managing and manipulating data from various databases.
- Experience of systems and the implementation of new financial and reporting system.
- Knowledge and some experience of HE reports including to OfS & UKRI, OFFA, HESA, and TRAC.
- Knowledge and experience of financial modelling, project accounting and cashflow reporting
- Knowledge and applicable experience in activity costing.
