Our client is an alternative finance provider who lends to SMEs across the UK. They are seeking an Assistant Relationship Manager to join their growing team. **Responsibilities**: - Carry out post draw down procedures from Information Pack/Loan Agreement - Interaction with Borrowers and the credit team to obtain financial data and information required to monitor the loan portfolio - Ensure that management and financial information is received from borrowers on a timely basis - Review and input of financial information - Testing the financial covenants - Liaise with the monitoring, distress and recoveries teams in relation to breaches - Calculation of financial covenants and performing quality assurance checks on financial information provided by Borrowers, including: comparing actuals against budgets/forecasts; identifying cause of variances and their impact on liquidity and ongoing debtserviceability; and escalating material variances to Senior Monitoring Manager and Senior Asset Manager - Preparing reports and proposals for credit and legal teams in relation to breaches and where waivers or consents are appropriate - Review of customer projections during the lifecycle of the loan - Maintain loan status data in order to provide reporting to fund managers and lenders demonstrating continuing compliance of each Borrower with regard to the Loan Portfolio. - Assist the Relationship Manager / Senior Relationship Manager with post Investment Committee execution, including: - Instructing the legal team. - Issuing documents to the customer and chasing for completion. - Ensuring final signed docs are logged with the legal team and saved down to file. - Dealing with post completion conditions ("conditions subsequent") and ensuring these are completed by the given deadlines or Credit approval obtained to extend. - Analysing MI and covenants and highlighting areas of concern to the managers. - Work collaboratively with the Transaction Services Team, Legal Services, Credit and Borrower Services. Assist with the preparation of reports and proposals for Credit and Legal Services teams in relation to breaches and where waivers or consents are required. - Review of customer projections during the lifecycle of the loan. - Supporting the Relationship Manager / Senior Relationship Manger with future opportunities within the portfolio **What you will bring**: - Excellent analytical skills - Familiar with Loan and security Documentation - Understanding of Financial Covenants - 5 + years of relevant experience gained in a professional company, financial institution or firm - An understanding of debt finance/asset finance and financial services experience - Strong interest in the financial technology sector and the growing online lending space - Excellent written and verbal communication - The ability to build relationships with stakeholders - Ability to adapt to rapid change - Robust, organised, calm, logical and confident - A can-do attitude **You would be required to work in the office (in Leicestershire) 1-2 days a week.
