Job Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity for a self motivated, people orientated, customer focussed individual to join our Retail Team.

Our Retail outlets provide a large amount of the much needed income for the care of cats and kittens in our care. This is vital to be able to provide the much-needed support for our work. Yorkshire Cat Rescue currently has 4 retail shops. We also have an online eBay platform. We are looking for a Retail Van Driver to join our Retail Team.

The post holder will be an integral member of the retail team and the stock generation and movement operation, collecting and delivering stock from our network of shops in and around Yorkshire as well as completing community collections and deliveries to donors and members of the public.
*

To drive the collection/delivery vehicle as required.

To collect and deliver items of stock to our network of retail shops and at times for the centre if and when required.

*Planning and Strategy
The role will follow a specific retail stock strategy that ensures the charity’s stock is moving around the shops effectively.

*Operational
- To drive the collection/delivery vehicle as required.

**Reporting and compliance**

- Following Gift Aid & Health and Safety policies as required
- Ensuring good maintenance of the retail van & any issues, accidents of incidents reported.
- Working with all charity systems as the role requires.

Develop a close working relationship with all staff and volunteers who work within the charity ensuring a positive view of the charity is being promoted at all times

Attend any team meetings as appropriate

Attend training as required to maintain your own knowledge and development.
