A truly Global company that provides services to the Pharmaceutical industry is looking to appoint an experienced QA Manager to their state of the art facility in Greater Manchester as part of ongoing expansion plans.
Leading quality at a local level, working closely with the Division Quality Manager to ensure that the company's quality policies, processes and procedures are effectively implemented. Responsible for leading the local Quality Assurance team ensuring thatresources are appropriately scheduled and directed to support the study programme of the company.
**Duties**:
- Build a positive and proactive quality culture that drives employee engagement and makes the company a fantastic place to work
- Maintain and implement the company's Quality Management System
- Promote continuous improvement activity within the company's Quality Management System
- Build and lead a high performing QA Team ensuring an adequate skills base, opportunity to develop and motivation to achieve objectives
- Collaborate across the organisation (commercial, QA, business development etc.) to ensure understanding of the compliance requirements for the company
- Effectively manage QA resources to support both commercial and operational activities
- Develop and maintain the company's Quality Management System to meet all specific GLP, cGMP and UKAS regulatory requirements
- Host client, accreditation and regulatory audits and inspections
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification) in a Life Sciences discipline, with experience in pharmaceutical testing or a related environment preferred (e.g. manufacturing)
- Team leadership / managerial experience required
- Direct quality assurance experience, preferably in a fast-paced analytical laboratory or similar environment is preferred. Ideally with direct experience in setting up/maintaining a Quality System.
- Experience of working in an GLP regulated (ie as member of a GLP Monitoring Authority programme) environment is a prerequisite
- GMP experience would be beneficial
- Experience in leading/reviewing/approving quality investigations, undertaking root cause analysis, developing corrective action plans, and ensuring the effectiveness of actions undertaken
- Requirement to keep up to date with changes in the quality landscape and maintain personal professional development
