**Job Overview**:We are seeking a dedicated Weekend Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Gorselands Nursing Home. In this role, you will ensure the kitchen operates smoothly. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards are essential.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Ensure that food is stored correctly and that the kitchen adheres to all hygiene and safety regulations.
- Support in serving meals and preparing trays for residents.

**Experience - Essential**:

- Experience in a kitchen or food service environment is beneficial but not required, full training will be provided.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety regulations is a plus.
- A positive attitude and a strong team player mindset.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Must be 18 or over to apply.
- A DBS check will be required for this role.
- Please note, we will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position.

The activities carried out by Gorselands in the Forest mean that there are a range of staff and people working on our behalf who may come into contact with people who are at risk of harm.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
