Horticulturalist

Award winning garden design services and plant centre, providing; Hedging, Topiary, Large specimen Plants, Shrubs, Trees, Conifers, Bamboo and Herbaceous Perennials, Alpines & Grasses.

**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a skilled Horticulturist to join our team. You will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining plants, flowers, and trees in our plant centre. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of plant care and landscape maintenance. You must have a passion for horticulture.

**Duties**:

- Providing quality customer service as an intergral part of the role
- Grow and care for a variety of plants, flowers, and trees
- Use hand tools and power tools to maintain the garden Irrigate plants as needed to ensure proper hydration
- Monitor plant health and identify any pests or diseases
- Prune and trim plants to maintain their shape and promote growth
- Plant new flowers, shrubs, or trees as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Working on site with clients to discuss their vision
- Unloading deliveries and driving when required (in fleet vehicle)
- Tidying up working areas

**Skills**:

- Past horticultural experience in growing/plant welfare/knowledge
- Driving to and from work - Enthusiastic and positive approach to work
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Full time hours, Monday to Friday are 42.50 hours and we can accommodate part-time hours.

Includes weekend and bank holidays flexibility (during peak times)
