**Compliance QA Analyst**

**_My high-profile utilities client is currently recruiting for a Controls and Governance Analyst to come and join their Warwick based team on an initial 6-month contract._**

**Job Summary**

The Revenue Team is part of Market Services for the Client and is responsible for setting tariffs and charging users of the electricity transmission system. These activities are governed by our Licence Conditions and other Codes, and the charging arrangementsunderpinning our processes are currently undergoing a period of significant change. Our team is responsible for issuing charges of over £5bn annually. We operate a variety of controls to manage process risk, to adhere to good governance standards and to ensurewe issue accurate and timely billing to our customers.

As a Controls & Governance Analyst you will take the lead on our assurance and governance obligations, working with colleagues across the Team to develop and maintain appropriate processes and controls. This will also require you to document and evidencehow we meet these commitments, and to work with a number of internal stakeholders including Risk Controls & Compliance, Corporate Audit and ESO Assurance.

**Key Accountabilities**

To lead on the following assurance and governance activities for the Team:

- Regularly review our revenue processes to ensure they are fit for purpose and appropriately control risk
- Ensure that the data that we handle, create and publish complies with our data governance standards
- Support the Team to control the risks associated with the use of grey-IT
- Support the Team at audit, from preparation pre-audit through to post-audit remediation action plan
- Create and maintain appropriate documentation relating to:

- Processes - SOPs, risks and controls matrices, process maps, etc
- Data nodes, data flows and grey-IT
- Risks, compliance near-misses, and mitigating actions
- Ad-hoc activities related to performance of SOx controls, our regulatory and licence obligations and other compliance matters.

**About you/ Qualifications**

We are looking for energetic self-starters, passionate about driving the energy system transition, and embedding innovation at the heart of the ESO. In addition, the following are essential or desirable:

- Experience of work related to risks & controls, compliance, governance, audit or similar is essential
- Ability to demonstrate familiarity with key principles of process risk management/assurance is essential
- Highly competent in the use of spreadsheets, databases or other business tools to accurately manipulate, analyse and summarise data is highly desirable.
- Experience or understanding of SOx controls is desirable.
- Any educational background welcomed but a financial/numerical based degree or qualification would be advantageous.
