Quality and Reliability Engineer

Monday to Friday. Days Based Role.

Quality and Reliability engineer required for a leading global manufacturing company who have five decades experience within their niche field. This role is varied but focusses on new product introductions, with the benefit of combining technical skillsand daily interaction with other teams such as designers, test engineers, project managers and customers.

This role will suit an experienced Q&R engineer, who has good working knowledge of processes such as FMEA, MSA, GR&R, SPC and techniques such as 8D, 5-Why, Pareto analysis and IATF 16949. A general understanding of CMOS technology and device physics, IC,and packaging Q&R failure mechanisms. Experience with planning qualifications based on AEC-Q100 series of specifications and in semiconductor automotive quality, APQP. Familiarity with test methods and hardware associated with qualifications, such as HTOLchambers, THB, ESD and catch-up. Applicants with Six Sigma Black Belt and a basic understanding of Function Safety, ISO9001 and ISO14001 experience will have a considerable advantage.

The responsibilities of this role include, New Product Introduction (NPI) quality and reliability, coordination of all aspects of APQP and PPAP, developing quality plans and execute to the satisfaction of our customers. Planning qualifications to AEC-Q100and/or requirements required by the customer. Collaborating with chip designers, test engineers, failure analysis engineers and product teams. Working closely with the Quality Department, including helping the Quality Technician to coordinate the executionof planned reliability stresses and ATE testing.

The Role:
*Responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) quality and reliability

*Developing and executing quality plans and AEC-Q100 qualifications to the satisfaction of customers

*Responsible for overseeing APQP and IC qualifications.

*Liaising with chip designers, test engineers, failure analysis engineers and product teams

*Working closely with the Quality Department aiding the quality technician to coordinating the execution of planned reliability stress and ATE testing

The Person:
*Able to collate PPAP documentation, including liaising with other teams to ensure the supporting information is provided on time and to a high standard

*An ability to appraise existing business processes to identity improvements that can increase process quality and improve efficiency

*Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and external customers

*Can create clearly written engineering reports

*Able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
