**Overview**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import/Export Clerk to join our team.

Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service.

As part of the operations team based in Glasgow, the Freight Clerk will ensure the smooth day to day operations & customer service for the Scottish customer base. They will be responsible for general clients and actively manage the accounts allocated to them. The Freight Clerk will oversee export, import & domestic shipments as required by the customer or overseas office as well as general file maintenance & documentation for all shipments.

EXPERIENCE

Experience in Air, Ocean and Road Transportation would be beneficial, but not essential.

Training will be provided

**Duties**:

- Exceeds customer expectations by anticipating, understanding and meeting needs.
- Proactive when issues arise and is timely and resolute in solving problems, including escalating to management when necessary.
- Builds rapport and exhibits empathy during interactions and consistently strives to improve customer satisfaction. This is expected with both internal and external Customers as well as other KRL offices in the UK and overseas offices/agents.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in logistics or supply chain roles, particularly within import/export operations would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Committed to operational success.
- Team player.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
