As a Barclays Quant Analyst, you will become part of a team of professionals who are responsible for quantitative models and analytics used in Equity Hybrid Structured Products business and Quantitative Index Strategies business. **Hybrid Working**
We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern optionsfor the role with the hiring manager.
**What will you be doing?**:

- Establishing a new strategic Python pricing framework utilising our C++ quant library to achieve flexible and efficient analysis of trades and models
- Performing analysis of trades and financial models in collaboration with Trading and Structuring
- Providing technical support for the use of the quant library in production
- Investigating production issues in cooperation with stakeholders, such as Trading and IT
- Researching implementing and documenting new models and numerical methods to improve Risk management of structured and cross-asset products
- Working with exotic derivative payoffs written in a DSL - reading, writing, testing, analysing the scripts
- Improving and expanding the C++ quant library and Risk engine (e.g. further optimisation of pricing engines written in CUDA)
**What we're looking for**:

- Master's or PhD or equivalent in Mathematics/ Computer Science or related quantitative field
- Solid Python and C++ programming skills
- Innovative ideas, and the ability, courage as well as desire to suggest and develop novel approaches
**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Experience in development and support of derivative pricing tools and experience with in-house Python library design and the core development
- Industry experience with Python libraries for numerical analysis (Pandas, NumPy, etc.)
**Where will you be working?**
5 North Colonnade is home to our investment bank and is in the heart of Canary Wharf, just a short walk from our headquarters at Churchill Place.
