**Budwood is recruiting for Trauma Informed Children's Support Workers across Dorset (Bournemouth, Poole, Dorchester).**

Budwood Ltd is a small family run business providing residential care and support to children and teenagers with emotional behavioural difficulties and social and emotional mental health. Our young people here may have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and so the aim of the service is to provide them with a stable comfortable home, where where they will be receive high levels of support and guidance to keep them safe and help them learn and develop the necessary skills to enable them a smooth and successful transition to independence and adulthood.

Therapeutic input is integral within the support services provided by Budwood - all staff are trained in ‘developmental trauma’ and therapeutic parenting to best aid your understanding and ability to provide the young people with the best support possible.

Salary ranges from £28,000-£31,000 per year depending on qualification.

**The Trauma Informed Children's Support Worker requirements**:

- MUST be over 22 years old
- To have experience of working / parenting children and young people
- To work 7 x 24 hours shifts and sleep ins over a 3 week period (9am to 9:30am the following day, including sleep in shift).
- To be friendly and supportive, and to have the ability to empathise with a non-judgemental approach
- To be flexible and able to cope with stressful situations
- To work well as part of a team and be able to accept direction and guidance
- Have a full driving licence and you MUST have your own transport as this position will involve travelling.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
