**About this client/child**:
PP is 7 years old and lives with his mum and twin. He has a lovely relationship with his brother who is an incredibly caring and helpful little boy. PP is very cute and engaging. He loves being around others; he attracts people to him with ease A few of his favourite activities are swimming, triking and playing ball. PP has cerebral palsy. He has some speech difficulties which can make him feel frustrated at times. He eats orally and is not on any medication. He attends school which is around 20-40-minute drive away. He is a wheelchair user, plus using a walker with assistance. He requires assistance with all personal care. Cleaning and organising will be essential to the role relating to PP.
**Overview of role**:
There is a detailed rehabilitation programme in place to implement daily after school, and on the days when PP is not at school. You will engage PP in fun play activities, either at home, or out and about. PP has physiotherapy and hydrotherapy alongside conductive education. You will be required to support PP’s home schooling when instructed by his private tutor. An important part of this role will be helping PP in regulating his feelings of frustration, especially when he is trying to articulate his physical needs and emotions. You need to think outside the box, bringing creative ideas to play time. Before PP’s night-time routine, he will have tea with mum and his brother and then you will support PP in his shower and teeth brushing. Once he is cosy in bed, he likes to have stories read to him until his mum comes to tuck him in for the night. Must be comfortable around pets as the family are in the process of getting a dog.
**Who this job would suit**:
A creative, support worker who has great ideas and practical tools to help PP to develop his problem-solving skills. Clear boundaries need to be put in place, so you will be consistent, confident, and thoughtful in your approach. You will also have oodles of energy and a great sense of humour to keep up with this wee spark
**What’s great about this job**:
