How you'll make a difference:
You will make a difference as a Finance Officer by supporting the delivery of a range of quality and cost effective financial management and financial support within the children’s department of the council.
What you will be doing:
- It will be your responsibility to ensure prompt follow up on requests that are received from internal/external customers.
- You will use your own initiative, developing and prioritising your work to meet set deadlines. You will also manage your own time to ensure key deadlines are met.

What we need from you:
- You must have good numeracy and literacy skills and be familiar with report writing, presentations and IT skills.
- You will have the ability to work with competing demands and deliver to deadlines.
- We require you to be able to work on your own initiative and prioritise your workload effectively.
- Ideally, you would need knowledge of Dynamics 365.
What you need to know:
- This is a part-time role, working 22.2 hours per week. Your salary will be pro-rated to hours worked.
- This is a limited term contract, ending 31st March 2026.
- We are also offering this as an internal secondment opportunity, you should first seek your line managers permission before applying.
- This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office in Badminton Road, Yate and working from home.
**Interviews will be held on 5th June or 6th June 2025.**
