Vectorex Construction Limited is a Construction Company based in Conwy working across North Wales, the North West and Cheshire.
We are currently looking for an experienced Office Administrator to join our team mainly supporting the Office Manager but also the wider team. This a great opportunity to step into a varied role with great potential for progression in the future.
**The role**:
The role will suit a mature, confident self-starter who has an eye for detail, has previously worked in a busy office environment, preferably within Construction, and who has experience in using accounting software. The successful applicant must be used to working in a fast paced environment and working to tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills are essential.
**Typical tasks and duties**:
- Verifying purchase invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes
- Entry of purchase invoices and setting up of new supplier accounts and supplier statement reconciliation
- Looking after our fleet of vehicles, booking services and MOT’s, booking valeting
- Plant fleet monitoring, booking services and actioning repairs and updating the certificate of conformity annually
- Receive and monitor weekly site paperwork
- Order PPE and maintain a PPE register
- Assist the QS with sourcing products and services for ongoing projects and obtaining quotes
- Assist the site managers by ordering fuel and other items required on site
- Setting up Health and Safety folders for sites
- Liaising with our Construction Manager regarding recruitment and advertising
- General office duties including answering the telephone and filing
- Deputising for Office Manager in their absence
**Skills and experience**:
- Strong IT skills
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Knowledge of an accounting software package essential
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise workload and multi-task
- Knowledge of weekly/monthly payroll preparation, CIS and PAYE desirable but not essential
