**Position**: HR Advisor

**Salary**: up to £28,000

**Location**: Blackburn (Site Based)

**Some background information**

The client is a global giant, operating in the retail sector. It’s grown astronomically in the past 20 years from a single site to now having thousands both inside and outside the UK, exceeding 50,000 employees.

The organisation has a really refreshing HR Team in place - they’re actively developing a strong people - focused culture, and now they are looking for an ambitious HR Advisor to join them and assist to deliver this.

**Responsibilities**:
This will be a very dynamic role in which you will never get bored. As a HR Advisor, you will work under the HR BP and manage your own ER casework for this area of the business. You will provide advice and support on ER matters, policies, procedures and best practice. You will also take control of the absence and performance management issues and work closely with both employees and managers to resolve them.

The cases that you will be involved in as a HR Advisor will be very diverse. One day you can be dealing with a disciplinary in the morning, a capability meeting in the afternoon and the next day, you can be involved in a grievance, a TUPE, support with redundancies and restructures etc. In other words, this role will be challenging and rewarding at the same time as it will shape your HR knowledge and improve your confidence when handling complex situations.

You will also work on coaching and upskilling managers on various HR processes and initiatives.

**What are we looking for**:

- CIPD or equivalent professional HR qualification.
- Some experience in dealing with ER cases.
- In depth HR and employment law knowledge and a HR Generalist background.
- Confident communicator and ability to support, coach and advise line managers on a variety of HR matters.
- A friendly and can-do attitude.
