Job Introduction
MHE such as Fork Lift Trucks and battery powered ride on pallet trucks are essential pieces of equipment within our industry as they allow heavy loads to be moved around easily. MHE can be extremely dangerous if operated by untrained employees so it essential that authorised personnel receive suitable and sufficient training.

The MHE trainer will ensure that all persons that are required to operate MHE (FLT and battery powered ride on pallet trucks) are trained to the appropriate standard and that refresher training is provided within 3 years

The MHE Trainer will also support Supply Chain departments including (Despatch, Palletising, Yard, Protein Plant, Stores, Phase 12 etc) with matters of H&S

Main Responsibilities
- Lead by example
- Commit to and successfully complete MHE instructor training
- Commit to and successfully complete NEBOSH General Certificate
- Commit to and successfully complete a H&S level 6 qualification such as the NCRQ
- Ensure new MHE operators are trained to the agreed standard
- Maintain the MHE training matrix
- Set up new users on the MHE
- Refresh MHE operators within agreed timescales
- Support Supply Chain departments with matters of H&S including accident investigations, risk assessments, Safe Working Procedures, data analysis, accident reduction plans, Audit preparation and action close out
- Anything else required to complete your role successfully.
