Printers Assistant

Leading Edge Labels is a leading print and packaging company located in Gravesend, Kent and we are currently looking to recruit a new Print Assistant to our experienced Pre-press Team. The role we have available is for a person who shows the following attributes: - Take's pride in their work - Has a great eye for detail - Can work well under pressure - Reliable and open to a new career With the right guidance you could be one of our printers of the future. **Main responsibilities**: - Maintaining good housekeeping and general tidiness - Strictly adhering to a Health & Safety policies - Maintain the supply of materials to the printing presses - Ensuring that inks and solvents are at hand for Printers - Laying of printing plates - Cleaning of printing plates - Assisting in the setting up of the printing press - Washing up of ink units & preparing them for the next colour Manual lifting/light warehouse duties will form part of the role, so we are looking for people who are generally fit and willing to get "hands on". No previous experience is necessary as full training will be given. The shift offered is 12 hours per day spread over day and night shift. - Monday - Friday 6:00-18:00 two weeks days, - Sunday - Thursday 18:00-6:00 two weeks nights , Permanent **Salary**: - £12.28 plus 5% bonus each month after a 3 month probationary period. - Overtime rate at time and a ½ beyond 50 hrs per week. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £12.28 per hour Additional pay: - Bonus scheme - Performance bonus **Benefits**: - Free parking - On-site parking Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday - Night shift Work Location: In person
