**The Role**

We are seeking a new colleague, to work as part of the Communities Team, to deliver our community priorities of 'Improving Wellbeing’ of residents and 'Improving Access to Active Lifestyles’.
**So if you have**:
- Experience of developing, delivering, and coordinating physical activity programs
- Awareness of community sports development
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Level two qualifications in a mainstream sport
- Access to your own vehicle
- Experience of working with people of a variety of backgrounds and ages

- Experience of developing, coordinating and promoting physical activity programs in a community environment
- Experience of planning a series of progressive physical activity sessions
- Experience of delivering physical activity sessions
- Experience of computer based programmes, e.g. MS Word, Excel etc
- Knowledge of physical activity agenda / community sports development
- Understanding of basic principles of the link between physical activity and health
- Awareness of needs of different community groups
- Ability to plan and deliver physical activity sessions
- Ability to work on own initiative and part of a team
- Excellent communication interpersonal skills
- Effective written communication skills
- Good overall IT skills
- Ability to evaluate sessions and provide quality feedback to participants
- Can work well under pressure at meet deadlines whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality
- Willingness to work unsocial hours and work to deadlines
- Educated to the equivalent of degree level OR the ability to demonstrate equivalent experience and ongoing development
- Hold a full valid UK driving licence
- Some relevant Level 2 NGB sports coaching qualifications or ability to acquire on acceptance of role
- Demonstrate a willingness to undergo relevant training and a commitment to continuous professional development
- Flexible attitude to undertaking a variety of duties
- Able and willing to work alone for extended periods
- Reliable and punctual
