Hales Group are working with an award-winning and ambitious public sector organisation set within East Norfolk. They are looking for a Management Accountant you will be providing management accounting service to the business.
**Key responsibilities**
- To provide the full range of management accounting support to managers
- To provide financial advice on service changes, projects and support the development of business cases and plans
- To provide advice and support to managers in delivering change
- To assist in the preparation of the Statement of Accounts in accordance with proper practices and any statutory requirements for those services which have been allocated to the post holder
- To complete grant claims, financial and statistical returns for those services allocated to the post holder
- To undertake monthly reporting for the services which have been allocated to the post holder, including accruals of income and expenditure, profiling of budgets and transfer of budget as required
- To prepare annual budgets in liaison with Managers, and to provide them with any financial assistance necessary to complete their service plans and fees and charges
- To reconcile on a monthly basis such accounts which have been allocated to the post holder
- To prepare financial reports and appraisals and to present such reports to managers and elected members as necessary
- To provide cover for the Financial Services Manager in their absence as necessary
- To undertake systems administration on the Financial Management System as required.
- To carry out such duties as are required and are commensurate with the grade of the post
**Skills and experience**
- AAT qualified/Management Accounting qualification
- Part qualified/qualified accountant (desirable)
- Ability to understand and analyse complex financial information
- Ability to undertake research to evaluate and resolve complex financial information
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial managers
- Ability to write complex finance reports for committees
- Able to manage your own workload
- Proactive and engaging with all stakeholders
- Able to deliver workload according to agreed outputs
- Worked within the private sector (desirable)
