**Job Summary**
We are seeking a reliable, hard working long term Café Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional service in our very popular and busy café. This job is not suitable for students seeking temporary holiday employment or for anyone still at school.

Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential. More important is a willingness to learn, integrity, the ability to listen, the ability to work well with others and excellent communication skills.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation drinks and serving cakes, ensuring quality and freshness.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and drinks, and addressing customer inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency and efficient service during busy periods.
- Help manage inventory by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to the senior team
- Taking orders and payments once familiar with the processes.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.
- Follow all café and business processes

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with bartending or catering services is an advantage.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and providing outstanding customer service.
