An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join one of Warrington’s fastest growing, highly acquisitive businesses who require a Finance Manager to join their friendly team.
Reporting to their high calibre Financial Operations Manger you will be responsible for the following:

- Treasury management including maintenance of bank accounts, mandates, and Direct Debits and online banking.
- Management of Merchant Terminal accounts and processes across the business.
- Responsibility for the completion and review of bank reconciliation for multiple bank accounts.
- Daily cashbook reconciliation and investigation of reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Regular communication with wider finance function and credit teams to resolve queries.
- Support credit teams and wider business with treasury related queries.
- Oversee all payments made from the business, including supplier payment runs, and other ad hoc payments.
- Finance approval for all overheads invoices.
- Management of overheads Accounts Payable function.
- Ensure overheads suppliers are paid correctly and on time.
- Overhead creditors review and resolution of escalated issues.
- Overall responsibility for CAPEX approval process.
- Development and further implementation of electronic invoice platform.

Other Duties will include but not be limited to:

- Management, training, and development of a team of 6 clerks which will increase, with further recruitment as per business needs.
- Assistance with the preparation of the year-end audit, liaising with auditors.
- To own and develop the processes, while identifying and implementing improvements.
- Produce and distribute monthly reports.
- External stakeholder management.
- Support senior management with ad-hoc projects as required.
- Identify risk areas and report promptly to the Financial Operations Manager.

To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you will have the following experience:

- Experienced Finance Manager - Experience of managing multiple disciplines within a finance function is essential.
- Experience of managing teams of 4+.
- Recognised accounting qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Excellent reconciliation skills with demonstrable similar experience.
- Resilient in an environment of change with a positive approach to the challenges of a developing business.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience of a range of accounting software and different working environments.
- Ability to work with a customer service focused approach.
- Confidence to challenge existing practices.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage and develop a team, while guiding them through periods of change.
