McCabe & Barton are partnered with a leading Clearing & Trading House in recruiting for an Automation Tester on an interim basis.The role will be an initially for a 6 months contract with the view to extend.

Key skills and responsibilities:

- Analyse business and Functional requirements in order to understand the use case / Test case for automation
- Liaise with Manual Testers to understand the Test Scenarios / Test Cases and also the Test data requirements
- Write automation files from test cases related to the functionality under change
- Run test automation suites and debug issues
- Propose, demonstrate and document best practise
- Maintain Test execution scripts, documentation and results in the appropriate testing tools.
- Log, monitor and retest found defects.
- Provide regular updates on progress and/or issues relating to test activities.
- Proactively learn new technical or product areas as required and effectively implement in the Test automation framework
- Strong experience in Test Automation tools such as Selenium or Cypress
- Strong experience in scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, Java, JavaScript or C++
- Strong experience in parsing XML, JSON, CSV type of files while automating the tests
- Must have financial services experience, Clearing and Trading experience desirable
- Good time management skills, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Excellent communication skills to all levels within an organisation, being a clear, assertive, and patient communicator
